So much of how open or closed your heart is to love, is a result of all that happened with your parents as you were growing up. To help open your heart, find a quiet place and imagine you were raised by totally perfect parents. They always loved you. They said and did everything you wished they would. And they never did anything you wished they haven’t done. Imagine how much you would love these perfect parents that loved you so perfectly. If you really take the time to imagine it, it feels so good, doesn’t it? So open! So Free!
Now imagine that your heart stays wide open as you realize that, even though your mother and father didn’t say or do all those things, was because they were dealing with their own messed up stuff from their own messed up parents. And because parents, who have responsibilities in addition to your well being , no matter how perfect, possessed finite resources of time and energy to fulfill the infinite desire for attention that children have. It is time to forgive them and love them even more. In those cases, our parents had it harder than we did. For the most part, our parents generation was raised by less aware parents. What if the truth is that your real mom and dad were your perfect mom and dad? The ones you needed to grow the way you have grown, the ones who help you to get strong stronger, be more compassionate, and learn the lessons you need to learn to become the person you are today.
Now imagine loving your real mom and dad, without any of the hurt, anger, upset, or resentment. Notice how great that feels! You can forgive your mom and dad for all the things that prompted you to build protective walls around your feelings and around your heart. You can let those walls go. You don’t need protection anymore because you are trying to protect yourself from your feelings. You don’t need to be protected from your feelings. You are powerful. You are strong. You can feel your feelings. You can feel your anger. You can feel your your shame. You can feel it all. Whatever you need to feel, you are strong enough. Love your parents, as much as you can, not for their sake, but for your own, because the more you can love them, the more you can
love yourself, your partner, your friends, and the world.
You actually had the perfect friends growing up. They were the ones to give you the lessons you most need to become the person you are becoming.

19,389 Americans do THIS “Brain Trick” Every Morning
Did Your “Genius Brain” Get Switched Off?
Most Seniors Don’t Realize This…
Getting older doesn’t have to mean your brain gets slower…
According to researchers, there’s a tiny but important part of the brain that gets “switched off” with age…
…And most people have no idea this is even happening to them.
Deep inside your brain sits a tiny structure called the hippocampus — basically your brain’s control center.
Memory, focus, mental sharpness… it all runs through there.
And according to neuroscientists, in 99% of adults over 50, it’s almost completely dormant.
Which explains things like:
❌ Brain fog
❌ Blurry memory
❌ Sudden blanks mid-conversation
None of that is “just aging.”
Your hippocampus is simply switched off.
Here’s where it gets interesting, though…
A neuroscientist recently discovered a “7-Second Brain Trick” that switches it back on.
People who’ve tried it describe it as “the fog suddenly lifted.”
So far, 19,389 Americans are doing this every morning and are reporting:
🧠 A sharper memory
⚡ All-day-long mental clarity
🎯 The “sharpness” from their younger days returning
